3rd ANNUAL LOPEZ LAKE TURKEY FESTIVAL Sunday, November 21, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m

THE FRIENDS OF LOPEZ LAKE (FOLL) will host it's 3rd Annual Lopez Lake Turkey Festival. The festival is a great opportunity for families and individuals to experience the beautiful Fall season and turkey wildlife at Lopez Lake while enjoying numerous activities. The festival includes such activities as Live Music, Kids Carnival, Tiny Mile Turkey Trot, 5K Turkey Trek, Food Vendors, Kids & Adult Raffle, Free Nature Boat Cruises and Hayrides. The main events will take place at Mallard Cove & Sycamore day use areas.

THE FRIENDS OF LOPEZ LAKE is a volunteer organization for Lopez Lake Recreation Area. FOLL helps support interpretive and community outreach programs as well as their highly successful monthly Free Kid’s Fishing Clinics. They also maintain the Lopez Lake Native Garden located next to the marina and their long-term goal is to build a natural history museum. All donations to the FOLL go towards the development of park programs and services that, due to budget constraints, are unable to be funded by San Luis Obispo County Parks.
